Certificate 15

Running time 86 minutes approx.

When 15 year-old Sebastian finds his mother is pregnant and planning to move in with her West-Berlin boyfriend, he goes back to East Berlin to ask his estranged father if he can stay there instead.  Father and son try hard to rebuild their relationship, but even Sebastian can see that his Dad is a bit of a loser, whose ‘Ossi’ mentality is hampering his progress in the Germany of 2004.  All at once, Sebastian must try to coach his Dad in finding a new job, maintain a relationship with his mother and impress Nora, the girl he’s beginning to spend quite a lot of time with.  The results are comic, poignant and frustrating in equal measure.  With Milan Peschel (Marcel Werner), Sebastian Butz (Sebastian), Christina Große (Nora)
