Il y a longtemps que je t’aime (2008)

Directed by Philippe Claudel

Certificate 12

Running time 108 minutes approx

When the two sisters Juliette and Léa meet at the beginning of the film, they haven’t seen each other for 15 years.  It soon becomes clear that Juliette has been in prison and that Léa, who has invited her to stay with her and her family on her release, is treading very carefully over what exactly happened all those years ago.  Their relationship gradually deepens and Léa works hard to win her sister’s trust and help her come to terms with her dreadful past.  With Kristin Scott Thomas (Juliette), Elsa Zylberstein (Léa) and Serge Hazanavicius (Luc).
